RUMOR: PACIFIC RIM Star Charlie Hunnam Wanted To Play The Flash In JUSTICE LEAGUE?

Take this news with a pinch of salt, but a new casting rumor for Warner Bros.’ Justice League movie  has gone online. The studio is releasing Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim on July 12th, and is apparently very pleased with the result. So much so, that WB and Legendary have the director locked to film Crimson Peak next year, and also have him co-writing a Pacific Rim sequel. Del Toro is also attached to a Justice League Dark adaptation titled Dark Universe. However, WB is also reportedly very interested in one of Pacific Rim‘s stars, Charlie Hunnam (who will soon work with del Toro again on Crimson Peak).  An industry source claims that concept art for Justice League features Hunnam’s likeness, and it looks like he may be wanted to play none other than The Flash. It’s possible that whoever drew the concept art is merely a fan of the actor and wanted to use his likeness, or perhaps WB is high on having Hunnam joining the DC superhero ensemble and/or may even be in talks with him. Of course, there’s a good chance that del Toro will want to cast him as John Constantine in Dark Universe (as he fits the bill quite well), but keep in mind that none of this is officially confirmed just yet.
