THE AVENGERS’ Tom Hiddleston In Early Talks To Star In THE CROW Remake

It looks like Relativity Media’s remake of The Crow (an adaptation of the comic book series from James O’Barr) is finally gaining some momentum. The film lost both its director and star Bradley Cooper a couple years ago, but  F. Javier Gutierrez (Before The Fall) has since been hired to helm the production, which was rewritten by Warrior scribe Cliff Dorfman. A slew of actors have been attached to the movie recently – namely Channing Tatum, James McAvoy and Mark Wahlberg – but it appears that we may have a serious contender: Tom Hiddleston, best known for his role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor is in early talks to take on the lead role of Eric Draven (a role played by Brandon Lee in the acclaimed 1994 original), having met with the producers and prepping for a proper makeup test. Production for The Crow is expected to begin this fall, but this timeframe could move depending on several factors. Hiddleston will next be seen as Loki in November 8th’s Thor: The Dark World.
