Gwyenth Paltrow Doesn’t Think There Will Be A Fourth IRON MAN Film

Iron Man 3 Banner

Despite stating not too long ago that Robert Downey Jr. was in talks to play Tony Stark in more Marvel films, Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) now seems certain that there won’t be another Iron Man film. On the press tour for Iron Man 3, the actress was asked if we can expect another movie starring everyone’s favorite Armored Avenger, and she was rather direct in her response. “I don’t think there’s going to be [an Iron Man 4]. I think we’re done with Iron Man.” With the threequel looking to be another big hit for Disney/Marvel (it’s currently tracking a whopping $160M domestic opening), it would seem ideal to continue the franchise. However, Robert Downey Jr. has also expressed concerns over staying in the role for much longer, as he’s getting older. Although Kevin Feige previously stated that Marvel will likely go the James Bond route and recast the role of Tony Stark when the time comes, it’s hard to imagine the studio getting rid of its most recognizable face anytime soon.
