Warner Bros. Pushes Back 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE And ALL YOU NEED IS KILL Release Dates

Warner Bros. has shuffled its upcoming schedule a bit, setting new release dates for 300: Rise Of An Empire and All You Need Is Kill. The former, a sequel to the 2007 Frank Miller adaptation, is now slated for a March 7th, 2014 release. Considering that the film was originally scheduled for August, this is quite a delay. However, it shouldn’t be too surprising as we haven’t seen much from it marketing-wise. Also, the first film made $456M+ worldwide when it was released during the same time six years ago. Additionally, Tom Cruise’s sci-fi actioner All You Need Is Kill (which was previously set for March 7th) will now arrive Junes 6th that year. It will face off against Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot on that date (marking the second time WB had an upcoming film share a release date with that film; the Michael Bay-produced reboot was once set to open opposite Godzilla on May 16th). All You Need Is Kill may serve better as a summer blockbuster rather than a spring release.
